PEACE OUT, RIVER TROUT
Found this “Goodbye” shirt recently. Thought it was a fun way to say goodbye to 2010! You can buy the shirt right on threadless.
PASADENA WINE FESTIVAL
As if the words “wine” and “festival” in the same sentence weren’t enough to get your attention, this perfect little logo will do the trick. Love it. Wanna go? Get the Details.
OH GAP…
I just couldn’t resist a Gap post after the media frenzy today following their branding disaster. While there are a few stand-outs claiming that this may be a grand genius scheme, I have to say… No way. Not all press is good press. This bad press, is REALLY BAD press, and trust me, if GAP (or is it Gap?) could tell us how they really feel right now… it would probably be something like “Oh SH*T!” rather than patting themselves on the back.
As many headlining public mistakes do these days, this one has spawned an entire subculture of blog entries, public outcry, web sites and mockery. Here are a couple of my favorites:
An Exclusive Interview With the New Gap Logo (hilarious interview with the logo itself - via Amy Wolkove)
CrapLogo (make your own “Crap” logo)

Even before Gap claimed to have planned a crowd sourcing plan, graphic designers from around the world began submitting their ideas to this blog. I picked a few of my favorites below:
166. Roger Schami ( I KNOW him! - nice work, Roger!)

13. Stephen Jowett »

48. Eric Carroll »

95. George Boutilier (made me laugh) »

136. Greg Washington »
